Network Rail, in the context of their Thameslink Programme, awarded ERTMS Solutions as supplier for its integrated onsite testing solution: the ERTMSCamCorder.
The Thameslink Programme is transforming North-South travel through London by delivering better stations, improved connections, greater capacity and more reliable journeys.
A key element of the programme is to increase the capacity on the twin track railway through the heart of London through the application of ERTMS, combined with the Automatic Train Operation (ATO).
While ERTMS is being implemented, Network Rail will have to optimize their test and commissioning timeframes: only a few slots of hours are available at night, which increases the challenges for Network Rail’s teams. The system testing has already started in the dedicated Thameslink Systems Integration Laboratory and dedicated test facility at ENIF. The addition of the ERTMSCamCorder to the test train will support an efficient final test campaign on the operational railway starting later this year.
The ERTMSCamCorder is the only onsite testing tool enabling full and synchronized record, replay, and report of all trackside and onboard data needed during the Test & Commissioning phase. More information about ERTMSCamCorder here.
