In the framework of the CNM project in South of France (Contournement Nîmes-Montpellier), Oc’via Maintenance chose the BaliseLifeCheck to maintain Eurobalises and KVB balises that equip this 80kms’ new line.
Oc’Via is a project company created by industrial stakeholders to answer the call for tender launched by SNCF Network. Oc’Via is in charge of the funding of investment costs of the line.
Oc’Via Construction is the company in charge of the design and building of the line in 5 years (2012-2017).
Oc’Via Maintenance is the company in charge of the surveillance, maintenance and renewal programs until 2037 (notably using the BaliseLifeCheck)
Bruno Dabilly, Oc’Via Maintenance Managing Director: “We are happy to start the CNM project using state-of-the-art preventive maintenance tools for Eurobalise and KVB maintenance, rather than sending teams on the tracks to measure the balises, as it is costly, time-consuming and – even more important – dangerous for personal safety.”
Samuel Penneçot, Oc’Via Maintenance Technical Director: “We have found with ERTMS Solutions a very flexible partner, able to integrate seamlessly with our other measurement supplier MERMEC. Also, we feel comfortable to keep innovating with ERTMS Solutions, towards more integration and more preventive maintenance.”
ERTMS Solutions’ “LifeCheck” product line is a preventive maintenance set of tools, which equips any type of trains, fitted or not with ETCS. It automates the track asset maintenance, enables to generate alarms, produces extremely detailed signal quality information and reports when it passes over a balise (eg. Eurobalises and KVB) or any type of track circuit (eg. TVM430) and magnetic systems (eg. Crocodile and AWS).
Oc’Via is the fifth client to trust ERTMS Solutions and its “LifeCheck” products for the preventive maintenance of its balises with SNCF, Eurailscout, Eurotunnel and MESEA.
